Hangar Dance

An annual highlight of the WWII Heritage Days weekend, the “Keep ‘em Flying” swing dance and dinner begins at 6:00 PM on Saturday, April 21st at the CAF Dixie Wing Historical Air Power Facility. Harken back to the 1940's as the Big Band sounds of Glenn Miller and Tommy Dorsey gets your toes tapping!  An incredibly fun evening; dining and dancing amongst Warbirds, uniformed reenactors, WWII Veterans and live entertainment!

Doors Open:  6pm
Dinner:  6:30pm
Band and Dance:  7:30pm
Dance Concludes:  11pm

Peachtree Jazz Edition– Live Swing Band

Described as “one of the best bands in Atlanta”, the Peachtree Jazz Edition has a loyal swing dance following and is returning to “Keep ‘em Flying” for the 13th straight year. Based in Peachtree City, the 21 piece band recreates the atmosphere of WWII by playing a wide array of tunes from the big band era of the 30s and 40s, including Glen Miller, Benny Goodman and Tommy Dorsey. http://sites.google.com/site/peachtreejazzedition/

Admission for “WWII Heritage Days” is a suggested donation of $10 for adults, $5 for children 11 to 17. Children 10 and under and WWII veterans are admitted free. The WWII Heritage Days Silent Auction will be held Saturday, April 21st.  The Silent Auction will have an exciting array of items to include warbird rides, military memorabilia, collectibles, autographed prints, original WWII pin-up artwork and one of a kind items.
